ISANHbrunDuring Paris Antioxidants 2013, our aim is to highlight the controversies of antioxidants activities and oxidative stress markers evaluation methods. In fact, the analysis of these markers can be realized by many different methods. But are these methods equivalent ? Which one is the best, the most representative? How to simply compare results coming from different methods?

The last statements of European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) which gave negative opinions about a lot of antioxidants and the lack of reliability for their dosing methods, report the frailty of clinical studies in antioxidants field. Besides, in scientific literature, a gap is reported between in-vitro results and clinical evidences.

One major objective of this congress is to gather scientific, industrial and academic Key Leaders Opinion to discuss how to find a standard for the oxidative stress assessment methods in one hand, and for the antioxidants capacities measurement on the other hand. To Talk about a Standard in this field is a hard task, but we will setup the borders.

Among sessions which will be discussed during the first day:

·         Human Biomarkers of Oxidative Stress and Antioxidants measurement: State of the Art & Perspectives

·         Human Biomarkers of Oxidative Stress and Antioxidants measurement

·         Antioxidants capacities rate in-vitro : methods and reliability

·         Electrochemical Methods & ROS Detection: State of the Art & Perspectives

·         Sensors & BioSensors: Next Generation for Oxidative Stress Evaluation

A special session will be dedicated to Oxidative Stress & Antioxidants Measurement by non-invasive methods and devices.
We will select last innovations in the field of oxidative stress and antioxidants biomarkers measurement in particular small non-invasive devices.
