arbaultDr Stéphane Arbault from University Bordeaux 1, France will present his work about Electrochemical Detections of ROS and RNS to Assess Antioxidant Activities during Antioxidants 2014 World Congress in Paris next June 2014.

Dr. Arbault will insist that micro- and nanosensors based on an electrochemical detection are now used in many biomedical domains. They have been developed in particular to answer questions raised in the field of oxidative stress and antioxidants. Indeed, they allow the direct detection of ROS or RNS, in minute volumes, with high sensitvity and an excellent response-time. Thus, they were used to monitor the individual oxidative stress status of cells in culture and in vivo, and now of single organelles including mitochondria. They might offer highly accurate systems to monitor and understand antioxidant activities.
