Dr Tchénio will focus on the Cell dormancy as a cellular response of dispersed cancer cells to pro-oxidant conditions, during during Antioxidants World Congress 2015
During the 15th International Conference on Oxidative Stress Reduction, Redox Homeostasis & Antioxidants, Dr Tchénio will present the Cell dormancy as a cellular response of dispersed cancer cells to pro-oxidant conditions at the Pasteur Institute in Paris on June 22-24, 2015.
"In most cases, metastasic cells that survive in distant organs do not proliferate, but have entered into a stable, yet reversible, cellular dormant state. The expression signature of the dormant state of prostate cancer clones was characterized and used to unravel signaling pathways involved in prostate cancer cell dormancy. We showed that TFGβ/BMP signaling and redox imbalance account for most features of the dormant cells."
