Targeting the BACH1-NRF2 Axis
Dr. Laureano de la Vega from School of Medicine, University of Dundee, United Kingdom will present a talk entitled "Targeting the BACH1-NRF2 Axis".
Dr. de la Vega will discuss the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory NRF2/BACH1 axis as highly relevant in a wide variety of situations, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, insulin resistance and other aging-associated conditions. He will also talk about the differential regulation of HMOX1 by the transcription factors BACH1 and NRF2, the identification of novel BACH1 inhibitors and their potential therapeutic use.
