Redox Regulation in Acetaminophen-induced Acute Liver Damage
We are delighted to announce to you that a new speaker, Prof. Jun Lu, from Southwest University, China will be joining the Paris Redox Conference and will deliver a speech about Redox Regulation in Acetaminophen-induced Acute Liver Damage.
According to his findings, Prof. Lu confirms that glutathione (GSH) depletion is a key event in acetaminophen (APAP)-induced liver damage. Recently he has found that mitochondrial glutaredoxin 2, selenoprotein thioredoxin reductases, and selenium status in diet are also critical for APAP-caused acute hepatotoxicity.
These results further improve their understanding on the correlation between thiol-dependent redox regulation and liver damage caused by oxidative stress.
