Telomere Length and Cardiovascular Diseases
Dr. Nihal Inandiklioğlu, from Yozgat Bozok University, Turkey will join the Paris Redox 2021 Congress which will be held on October 12-14, 2021 and give a presentation entitled "Telomere Length and Cardiovascular Diseases".
Dr. Inandiklioğlu reviews telomeres as specialized non-coding DNA repeat sequences found at the ends of chromosomes. Telomere lengths progressively shorten with each cell division. Oxidative stress, shown as one of the main mechanisms cardiovascular diseases, increases the rate of telomere shortening and causes cellular aging. In her speech, Dr. Inandiklioğlu will discuss telomere length in cardiovascular diseases.
